Grim Furry Tales Lore

What is GFT?

What is the Grim Furry Tales?I’d say it is a response, a knee jerk reaction, to the lack of mystery left in our world. Here in America there are few places left where people still tell the old stories, if you are old enough, lucky enough, you remember them. Tales of little boys and girls left alone in the woods, trying to find their way out with bread crumbs. Or perhaps it was a story of a monster that would take little kids away if they were bad, worse yet turn them into a scrap or spot of jam to be cleaned by their own parents, never seen again.

Perhaps it was the boogey man, big bad wolf, water horse, or even a raw head? Whatever it was those mysteries are being lost, left in an age of information. While Grim Furry Tales is not about telling this tales directly, after all you can find a good book full of them, it is more about a world that started to leave these things behind and now is forced to return to them.

It is about a world very real with the ideas and colorful characters of these bed time stories and nightmares. Here in the world of Grim Furry Tales a young boy named Thomas inherits a book that opens back to him a lost world of fables, legends, and myth. He follows the adventures of a young girl and her brother as they help the protectors of our dreams, our imaginations, and return back to the Unwaking Lands.

Mort Sightings!

Mort was sighted at the local art show by the Tampa Bay Times. Unfortunately they did not put up links to Jen’s(the person who made the puppet) or our site. For that matter even Brain Noise! Where is the love TBT?

There in the pic you can see some of Smeet’s booster work, as well as my third painting. Jen is the one with a hand up Mort’s backside, she created the puppet for me. ^_^
